The Dance Gallery
The Dance Gallery Company is the performing studio company of The Dance Gallery, a dance studio based in Tuckahoe, New York. The Dance Gallery teaches dance as an art form, emphasizing fundamental technique and diversity of styles including classical ballet, jazz, tap, modern, musical theater and hip-hop.
For students with a deeper commitment to dance and who are seeking more performing opportunities, The Dance Gallery Company offers the experience to dance as part of a troupe and perform at venues outside the studio. The Company consists of a junior troupe (8-12 years old) and a senior troupe (13+ years old).
The Company is led by studio owner and artistic director Shannon DiNota, who danced professionally for twenty years.
Founded in 2012, The Dance Gallery offers quality dance instruction by experienced professionals who possess a passion for teaching students of all ages in a disciplined and nurturing environment.
In addition, the studio offers an introductory musical theater program, led by instructors Lori Mortensen and Christine Magliari, in which students learn basic acting and musical theater performance techniques, as well as musical theater dance moves.
