Vento Trio plays jazzy chamber music of the Americas; from classics to Brazilian music, their programs are sophisticated yet accessible, and include contemporary works, arrangements of choros and popular Brazilian music, and original music by Janet Grice. Director of the group, Janet plays the bassoon, and is joined by Kevin Willois – flute, and Sarah Bednarcik – clarinet. The group was formed 15 years ago at Rutgers University, and produced 2 albums, “Hudson Views” and “Brazilian Dances”. Vento Trio has performed extensively throughout the NY metropolitan area, and recently in Yonkers with support from a grant from Arts Westchester. They performed at conferences of Chamber Music America and the International Double Reed Society, the Festival de Música de Londrina in Brazil, and Fou de Bassoon in France.
